Man Utd's 2013 UNICEF Gala Dinner is a record breaker!
David Moyes and the Man Utd players joined 600 others at the 2013 United for UNICEF Gala Dinner at Old Trafford recently. The event raised a record £200,000 for children’s charity UNICEF which will help children facing a wide range of problems in Vietnam.
The UNICEF Gala Dinner is the most prestigious in the Man Utd calendar and to celebrate a number of money-can’t-buy items were auctioned off on the night including a piece Stretford End turf, high tea with Peter Andre and the chance for a child to be mascot for the day.
The Gala Dinner was part of Man Utd’s continued commitment to UNICEF. This is set to continue, with David Moyes announcing to guests at the dinner that the club would raise £1 million over the next three years.
The night ended with music from Britpop rockers Ocean Colour Scene who played a fantastic set which included classic hit Day We Caught the Train.
